Specify the facilities needed
Explain which facilities you need the cabin to provide and which are already available elsewhere on site. Include the number of users and working patterns, particularly where breaks or shift changes affect how the space will be used.
If your request includes seating, tables, food preparation space or changing areas, describe each requirement. A floor plan should reflect those uses alongside the toilet and washing arrangements.
Construction welfare scope
The Health and Safety Executive, the workplace safety regulator, identifies washing, toilets, rest and changing facilities within its construction welfare guidance (hse.gov.uk). An office cabin alone does not establish that a project’s welfare needs have been met.
For a construction project, set out the complete welfare requirement and any parts that still need assessment. Keep office workspace and welfare provision distinct in your enquiry.
Connections and hire duration
Describe the water, drainage and power arrangements you already know about. If connections are unavailable or undecided, identify the gap so the cabin specification can be discussed in that context.
Give your intended start date, expected hire duration and any changes in site occupancy. Include access requirements and any delivery restrictions relevant to the proposed position.
